Venuzuelan developer Sukeban Games has confirmed in a new blog post that its latest game, .45 Parabellum Bloodhound: Cyberpunk Active Time Action, is content complete and may receive a release date soon as the game enters the polishing, localization, and QA phase.
Sukeban Games made its commercial debut in 2016 with VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, a visual novel where players mix drinks for customers of a hole-in-the-wall bar in a dystopian future. The game has received a cult following in the near-decade since its release and was set to receive a sequel titled N1RV Ann-A in 2020 before it was delayed indefinitely to prioritize development of .45 Parabellum Bloodhound.
In a blog post, the game’s designer Christopher “kiri” Ortiz confirmed that “every single story event and encounter is now fully playable.” They also tease that the game may receive a release date announcement in the next few months if things go according to plan.
“kiri” also confirms in the blog post that Sukeban will be self-publishing .45 Parabellum Bloodhound, and that the project was initially planned to be a two-year development project but has ballooned into a larger title that the team has been working on “for most of [their] lives”.
.45 Parabellum Bloodhound is an RPG mixing real-time and turn-based elements, with a combat system most comparable to SquareSoft’s 1998 horror RPG Parasite Eve. The game is the team’s first 3D title and utilizes a stylized, low-poly art style.
.45 Parabellum Bloodhound is currently in development for PC.
