The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 18, 2026, it was announced today.
The release date was confirmed during the Nintendo Direct broadcast this afternoon which highlighted upcoming third-party software. The segment included a brief trailer showcasing gameplay footage and the final launch date.
Developed by Claytechworks and published by Square Enix, the title is an action role-playing game featuring HD-2D graphics. Players control the protagonist, Elliot, as he explores the fictional region of Huther.
Distinct from previous HD-2D titles like Octopath Traveler, this game features real-time combat rather than turn-based battles. Players must master various weapons, a shield parry system, and unique co-op mechanics where a second player can control Faie. The game has drawn comparisons to the Mana series and 2D Legend of Zelda titles for its colourful aesthetic and dungeon-crawling gameplay.
There’s a demo for the game available now on Nintendo Switch 2.
