Fellow Traveller, the Indie games label that has helped publish critically acclaimed titles, including Paradise Killer, 1000xRESIST, Beacon Pines, and the Citizen Sleeper series, has launched the Story Rich Showcase. This event will have a focus on “story-rich indie games” and is set to debut as part of Summer Game Fest in June 2026.
As described on the event page of the Fellow Traveller official website, The Story Rich Showcase “seeks to give narrative-driven titles the time, care, and visibility they so often miss during one of the busiest moments in the games calendar.”

A lineup of 20-25 games is planned for the Story Rich Showcase, with time given to developer-led segments that will “highlight the people behind the work, their ideas, and creative journeys.” Fellow Traveller, a self-funded publisher, also highlights that there will be no paid-for or sponsored slots and no cost for participating developers.
The showcase will be broadcast on the Fellow Traveller YouTube and Twitch channels and on a Steam event page, with the VOD to be available on the Fellow Traveller YouTube channel.
The Indie publisher states that they want the Story Rich Showcase to be “all killer, no filler,” citing the Wholesome Direct and what it has done for elevating cosy games as their inspiration. Fans can look forward to exclusive announcements, first looks, new trailers, release dates, updates, and “a few surprises.”
This isn’t Fellow Traveller’s first foray into gaming events, having hosted LudoNarraCon on Steam since 2019, which will return this year in Q4 instead of its usual April-May slot. They are also keeping up on the publishing side, with restaurant-management RPG The Hearth and Harbour, and Nirvana Noir, a detective game set beyond time and space, in the works at developers Saltstone Studios and Feral Cat Den, respectively. They also published Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector and Wander Stars in 2025, both of which we reviewed.

While it is unclear whether we will hear anything about these two upcoming releases at the Story Rich Showcase later this year, no one can deny that the hardworking team at Fellow Traveller are doing everything they can to give narrative-driven games, and the people who make them, their time to shine.
The Story Rich Showcase will launch as part of Summer Game Fest in June 2026. To learn more about the event, or if you are a developer looking to submit your game for the showcase, check out the event page for more details.
