The Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy finally starts making its way to Nintendo and Xbox platforms next week, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade. The first of the two previously entries to the remake trilogy will arrive on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S on January 22 2026.
As the game becomes available on all platforms, Square Enix are bringing in some quality of life enhancements to make the game more accessible to players. Titled ‘Streamlined Progression’ by Square, gamers will be able to toggle on the ability to “keep HP and MP topped up, and always hit for 9,999 damage!”. If you have played some of the late-game optional content, this may be welcome rather than having to struggle through once again.
To celebrate Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade launch day on Nintendo Switch 2 & Xbox, a patch for the PS5 and PC versions will launch next Thursday.

If you haven’t played Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you truly are in for a wonderful time. Whilst there are some aesthetic remnants of a remake that began production far before its 2020 PlayStation 4 launch, the combat is superb and Midgar is a delight to revisit. Well-acted characters and great boss battles make this an excellent package.
The game is available for pre-order on Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2, pre-ordering the game on the new platforms will unlock a free digital copy of the original Final Fantasy VII. Just take a look at the comparison to see how far we’ve come:

Though, if you’re on the fence about picking up the remake, there’s a demo available on Switch 2 and Xbox Series for you to check it out before launch. Player progression will be retained if you buy the game.
No release date window is available for the exceptional follow up and second part of the remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which remains only on PC and PS5 at this time. However, the full Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy will come to all platforms confirmed the Game Director recently. For PlayStation 5 players if you’re yet to begin this remake journey, a physical double pack of the first two parts of the trilogy has become available.
