Code Violet – What’s This? Trophy Guide

Code Violet is a Dino Crisis-inspired, third-person, survival shooter released by developer TeamKill Media. It has a total of 30 trophies, many of which are missable.

The game only offers one save per playthrough and many points of no return once you complete the zones. Therefore, it’s essential to keep track of which ones you still need before moving on, so you don’t miss a collectible.

Here is our guide for the What’s This? trophy for Code Violet.

In Code Violet, all the available weapons are simple to acquire. Though they can be missed, since they are only available in specific areas, none require a special item and only require a hint of curiosity.

This is not the case for the GENO T-99 Helix Cannon. For the What’s This? trophy, it asks you to Prototype Weapon.

Remember that early spot in the Bioengineering Lab where fishies are swimming on the other side of the glass showcase? You shot those glass and freed the fishies, “flooding” the place, right?

If you did, you should’ve picked up a key that appeared on the ground after all the water magically disappeared.

You held on to the key? Kept it nice and safe in your Global Storage? Good!

In the final area of the game, after crossing the Starbridge, you’ll arrive inside a grand castle. As soon as you enter the castle, take the stairs on the left side.

Interact with the big picture frame on the top of the stairs and it’ll open up a “hidden” passage. You’ll need the Secret Key to access the next area. Upon opening it, you’ll see the weapon you need on the pedestal.

The Prototype Weapon for What’s This trophy

The Helix Cannon is a grenade launcher-type weapon. You can create the ammo for this weapon by combining Yellow Serpentine with Titanium, and the ammo stacks by 6. This may be handy for NG+; otherwise, you receive it so late in the game that it’s not of any real use, since all you have left is the last boss.

Regardless, congrats on your shiny new toy!
