High On Life 2 Gets A Switch 2 Release Date

Squanch Games confirmed earlier that High on Life 2 will be getting a release on the Switch 2 after its initial release on other platforms next month. A release date of April 20th has been confirmed for the Switch 2.

Although Switch 2 owners may have to wait a bit longer, it’s good that they’ll be able to get their hands on the title. While the first high on life was a bit mixed when it came to critics, gamers ended up taking a liking to the title for its humor as well as being a surprisingly competent Metroid Prime-style FPS. It was personally one of my most enjoyed games of 2022. If the game continues the solid Metroidvania foundation the first title had, it could find a home among Nintendo fans, given that Nintendo are one of the ones who started that genre in the first place.

It performed well, being a top seller on Steam and finding an audience on Xbox through Game Pass before eventually releasing on PlayStation some months later. Nintendo fans also got a port much later in 2025.

Thankfully, Nintendo fans won’t have to wait 2 years for a port this time around. High On Life 2 is set to launch on Xbox Series platforms, PC, and PS5 on February 13, 2026, and will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2 on April 20, 2026.

DeMandre "LetalisVenator" Pressley

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
