Alex Revealed For Street Fighter 6

Season 3 for Street Fighter 6 gets it’s next update soon as Capcom has shown off Alex in a teaser trailer. First debuting in Street Fighter 3, Alex was the protagonist for the Street Fighter 3 series. While that series was polarizing at first, Alex has become a fan favorite for the franchise as time went on.

Alex looks up at the camera and points up seemingly into the crowd or at the player through the camera.
Alex is more than ready to step into the ring.

In past games Alex has been a hybrid between a Grappler and a Brawler. He combines a wrestling style that’ll look similar to Zangief at first glance but with more emphasis on strikes than throws. What’s interesting about Alex this time around is that as a wrestler, he’s usually been a good guy. Yet it appears he’s playing the role of the heel this time. It’ll be interesting if this will impact his game play. Perhaps we’ll see some heel wrestler moves such as low blows or eye rakes this time around.

If Capcom follows their usual schedule, a full gameplay trailer for Alex should come next month along with an official release date. As for now, he’s slated for an early spring release. This is likely mid to late March as that will be after Capcom Cup has ended on March 15th.

Alex points down to his opponent as he looks down on someone.
Will you be looking down at your fallen opponent the way Alex is?

I’m personally excited to play Alex more than anyone else in the cast. I’ve always liked the character and have been wanting another brawler that compliments Marisa who has been the games only dedicated brawler tank type since launch.

In case you’ve missed it, Alex’s reveal trailer can be reviewed below.

With Alex joining the line up, will you be changing your main going into season 3? Let us know in the comments down below.

DeMandre "LetalisVenator" Pressley

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
