Prior to the start of the Game Awards, Microsoft and Compulsion Games have just announced that 2025s South of Midnight will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2026.
South of Midnight is a 3rd person action game starring Hazel in the south featuring many creatures of the folklore common in that area. The game received generally favorable reviews when it launched back on April 8th. in our review we gave it an 8.5 saying “As a whole it’s hard not to come away from South Of Midnight glowing. Its vibrant world, charismatic characters, incredible soundtrack and mythical creatures are true works of art. Going through that world as Hazel was a joy to do despite the repetitive combat.”
As of right now we have no new details on any new features or modes that will be added to the game, but it’s a good assumption that Compulsion will have some new party tricks in store for the port. Following other Xbox Studios ports such as Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, we can expect Playstation 5 Pro support, and being on the Switch 2 we will likely see more performance modes to make sure the game runs at a steady frame rate.
