Very exciting breakout game from indie developer, TomorrowHead Studio Will: Follow The Light will now be launching in the first half of 2026.
The first person adventure game that sets players on an adventure across the northern latitudes was originally revealed last year and has featured at both the spring and summer Future Games Showcases, looking very promising each time.
Follow The Light sees us play as lighthouse keeper, Will who resides on a small island in the rough northern seas. Will receives an unexpected radio message which sets him on a path to reunite his family. The trailers have filled me with Firewatch vibes and that couldn’t make me more excited.
The release was originally scheduled for this year but with time ticking down on 2025, the developers have finally confirmed that they need more time to get the game right. In a post on social media, the developers say they’re on the “home stretch” but with releasing the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC at the same time a priority, they’re going to need a little more time.
We have an important message to share about the future of WILL: Follow The Light.

If you’re interested in trying out the game, you can request access to the playtest via the game’s Steam page.
With the delay, if you’re looking for a fix of a video game with a lighthouse, be sure to check out Keeper, a beautiful brief adventure now available on Game Pass which we enjoyed in our review.
