Developer Cyanide Studio and publisher, Nacon have confirmed Styx: Blades of Greed will receive a short delay and will now launch on February 19 2026.
The unexpected sequel to 2017’s Styx: Shards of Darkness was originally unveiled at the start of the year. If you’ve not played either Shards of Darkness or the original, Master of Shadows, the Styx series are challenging stealth games which take inspiration from the Thief series. The Styx series is also part of the Of Orcs and Men franchise.
Blades of Greed also featured at the August 2025 Future Games Show with an exciting trailer showcasing some rather gruesome gameplay with violent takedowns and more.
The new entry to the franchise will feature three vast open environments, with Styx able to acquire new tools as the game progresses. Each new tool will open up new areas, offering Metroidvania-style progression. Players are encouraged to tackle the world in their own ways with a variety of abilities including mind control and time shifting.
Styx: Blades of Greed arrives in February for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
