The Lonesome Guild – Sootpipes Map & Collectibles Guide

Lonesome Guild is an action-adventure RPG with linear progression in terms of storytelling. However, the game does have some collectibles scattered throughout the maps, as well as side quests that require some backtracking. Luckily, there is a very simple map provided to you for each map; HOWEVER, it provides us with very little information. Not only that, it’s not the kind of map that you take with you; you have to be at the location where the map is for you to look at it.

We will be providing the map that you’ll see in the game, but complete with:

  • side quest locations, needed for Boy Scout, Wandering Hero, and Chosen One
  • Ghosts for Paranormal Activity, The Haunting, Phantasmagoria
  • Memories for Memorabilia, Album of Remembrances, and Honorary Ark (don’t forget that to see memories, you’ll need to be in control of Ghost
  • Flowers for Forget-me-not, Loves Me, Loves Me Not, and Ranfiero’s Gardener

Please note that these maps are potentially a work in progress. Let us know if there’s anything we’ve missed!

Sootpipes Map & Collectibles Guide

Our party enters Sootpipes through the organ from Primaeval Parish. This area is the last area of this chapter, and our goal is to solve the ice curse. I’m joking, the goal is to collect goodies!

Similar to the previous chapters, this dungeon is initially linear, with most paths inaccessible until you’ve unlocked the path for it through some other way. Therefore, as usual, don’t be fussed if you see a goodie on our map or on your screen that you can’t get through yet; you’ll get it eventually.

Sootpipes Level 1

Collectibles

Side Quest

A Broken Bond(8): In order to acquire this quest, you’ll need to solve the puzzle in the room before it. The main tasks are to interact with valves that control the steam blocking your way, moving Ghost around with his ghost light to make bridges appear, and having three party members flip 3 levers simultaneously.

We’ll do our best to describe the sequence to achieve this. (NOTE: You can fall off the bridges that appear using Ghost’s light, so either be careful or use this to your advantage to get around.)

Take the Ghost first, that’s on the left side of the room

Take your party to the middle platform and switch control to Wait mode.

Take one party member, along with Ghost, towards the bottom right corner platform, crossing the bridge that appears. To cross this steam barricade, interact with the bottom right valve with one of the other characters you left on the middle platform.

Once through, flip the valve again so Ghost’s partner can cross the next bridge, allowing access to the first lever. Leave that party member there with the switch and bring Ghost back to the others.

This time, pick another party member to stay with Ghost, aiming towards the lever closest to the door. Activate the lever so that the steam goes down, and bring Ghost and one other onto the bridge.

Have the free member switch to the other valve opening, allowing the others to cross. Once through, activate the lever.

Finally, we only need one more. Activate the bottom right valve once more to lower the steam to the left and flip the last switch.

Once through, you’ll find a ring. We’re meant to find the person with the matching ring, and they are located in Tallyoh Town.

Flower

Magentalia: This flower is located in the same room as the quest A Broken Bond. Scroll up to see the guide on how to get into this room.

Sootpipes Level 2

Collectibles

Side Quest

Lost Lockbox(6): The lost lockbox that the miner inquired about in Primaeval Parish is located here. Go grab it and bring it back to him!

Ghost: You’ll easily locate the Nosy Ghost, as usual, just be in control of Ghost so you can actually spot and interact with them.

Memory: This is another one that is near impossible to miss, as you’ll need to walk through this linear path in order to progress the story. As usual, I recommend having Ghost control the party while you’re adventuring anywhere new.

Sootpipes Level 3

Collectibles

Side Quest

The Missing Monarch(3): We were tasked to locate the missing Altostratian Queen back in Tallyoh Town. In order to get to this part of the map, you must first acquire the Chimney Elevator Key. This is located in that narrow passage on the left side of this level.

Once you do, you need to enter level 3 by taking the southern lift from level 2, which is only accessible once you have the Chimney Elevator key. Taking the elevator will lead you to the previously inaccessible part of level 3, which is where this monarch is located.

Flower

Heartstrike: In the same room as the monarch for The Missing Monarch quest, you’ll find this flower. Scroll up to see the guide for this side quest.

Shieldblossom: In this part of the map, on the right, you’ll see a path blocked by steam, and just past it is the flower. In order to turn the steam off, head to the right side and tucked away is the lever.

Barr’Hundu

Once you’ve completed the story in this chapter, you’ll be taken back to your hub, Barr’Hundu. Take the time to speak to your buds.

Flower

Heartstrike: When you’re able to, in Barr’Hundu, head inside one of the newly formed houses. This time, you’ll find a flower in Chaska’s house!
