While there may only be war in the grim darkness of the far future, it looks like we will only have to wait till next year to enjoy some frenetic, blood-soaked action with the announcement of Warhammer Survivors.
Born out of a partnership between the developers behind the Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun series, Auroch Digital, the indie developers of the 2021 smash hit Vampire Survivors, Poncle, and Warhammer, Warhammer Survivors is a fast-paced roguelite survivors’ game, set across both of the gruesome and bloodthirsty Warhammer universes.
Players will be able to choose from a roster of legendary figures from both the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universes, including fan favourites like the Space Marine Sternguard Veteran, Malum Caedo, and the lightning-forged Stormcast, Neave Blacktalon. Collect and wield iconic weapons like the chainsword and bolter, mixing and matching bullets and blades with spells to create devastating combinations.
But it’s not just the heroes and gear that’s getting the deluxe treatment; players can look forward to tearing their way through the legions of Chaos, Tyrannid hordes, and endless Skaven across a variety of locations, from the tight corridors of an abandoned Space Hulk to the plains of Aqshy.
Collect powerful relics and unlock new characters, weapons, and abilities, increasing your chances of survival on the next run. You are a champion of endless war, so you’ll just have to keep getting stronger!

While we have all witnessed the creation and quick population of the Survivors’ genre in the last few years, the Warhammer IP feels like a perfect match for that type of over-the-top experience, blending the scale and power fantasy enjoyed in both fandoms.
Slated for a 2026 release on PC, but the devs have already left a message for fans on the Warhammer Survivors Steam Page, saying “Load your Bolter and check back regularly as we reveal more coming to Warhammer Survivors!“
