Falconeers, ready your mounts! Solo developer Tomas Sala and game publisher Wired Productions have announced The Falconeer Revolution Remaster, with a Beta available to try on PC (Steam) right now!
The announcement was made via the Wired Productions website, with Sala posting a more personal message about the Revolution Remaster on the game’s Steam Page.
“Five years after its groundbreaking debut as an Xbox Series X|S launch title, The Falconeer is preparing to take flight once more… This comprehensive overhaul brings transformative visual improvements to one of gaming’s most distinctive aerial combat experiences.”

The Falconeer Revolution Remaster is set to release on November 5th and will be a free update for those who already own the original game on PC (Steam). In his Steam post, Tomas also gave a heads-up to players looking to pick up the base game to get the free upgrade, warning them that “There will also be promotional Steam events around the 5th and the 10th, so if you don’t own the Falconeer, hold off till then and be sure to get a good deal.”
Fans of the original 2020 release, which was also a launch title for the Xbox Series X/S consoles, can look forward to more than just pretty visuals, with Tomas bringing 10 years of solodev experience to the remaster. The Revolution Remaster will include:
- Improved flight controls, animations, and collisions.
- Balances and changes to escort missions and those idle downtimes.
- Edge of the World content is included in the base game.
- Mouse and keyboard controls.
- A custom dynamic lighting system.
- And more!
It is clear that the world of the Great Ursee is very important to Tomas, and that he wants to see it grow and become a ‘whole’. Returning to his first solo-developed title to make improvements and add elements from his follow-up title, Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, Tomas is doing everything he can to create a cohesive experience that is available to as many people as possible.
“It’s here because I want it to be here, I want all my games and this entire universe to reach a certain standard and be a ‘whole’. Not some sequentially released games, left to be abandoned and left to dust.”

And Tomas is by no means finished with this beautiful, dangerous world of infinite sea, crab cities, pirates, and krakens. He teased details of the next game to take place in the Great Ursee, announced earlier this year, which would take a more focused look at the naval elements of the IP.
“Ooh, and all the sales of the Remaster that do happen, you can bet your ass, that money is going into keeping me afloat, making the third game in this sequence a ship-design and open world adventure called “ancient waves” and more updates for Bulwark and Falconeer.”
The Falconeer Revolution Remaster is set to launch on November 5th on PC (Steam) at the standalone price of £15.99, or as a free update to those who already own the original game on Steam.
