PowerWash Simulator 2 – Hit The Lights Achievement/Trophy Guide

The residents of Muckingham are at it again. PowerWash Simulator 2 has just been released, and a couple of brave members of The Gamer Social Club have grabbed their gumboots and power washers to help guide you through the filthy achievements and trophies of PowerWash Simulator 2.

Hit The Lights Achievement/Trophy Guide

The third Career mode job we get is the Campsite, and we get our first job-specific achievement/trophy. In the Hit the Lights achievement/trophy, it asks us to clean the Lanterns first while only using the red nozzle. This is actually a great learn as you play tutorial and is a great introduction to what the job-specific achievements are like in PowerWash Simulator 2. It requires locating an item, asking us to clean it before all others, and requiring precision to avoid completing other tasks by mistake.

The first order of business is to locate the lanterns. This is easily done by accessing the Task List (by pressing the touchpad on the PlayStation 5’s DualSense). Locate “Lantern” on the list and track it.

Next, ensure that you are using the correct tool. In this case, any power washer will do; however, the red nozzle must be used. This is done by pressing the left/right directional buttons, cycling between red, yellow, green, and white nozzles. Alternatively, holding down the Up directional will bring out the different nozzles, and pressing L2/R2 will cycle between the different coloured nozzles.

With the lanterns tracked on the Task List, locating them is simple. All that’s needed is precision and care to ensure that no other task is completed until all four lanterns are cleaned. Be careful, there is a task called “Hanging Lantern”. This should not be cleaned as it’s not part of the requirement. I made a mistake of cleaning it my first time around, which forced me to complete the job first, so I had to complete the task during Free-Play. Luckily, the achievement will be rewarded as soon as all four lanterns are cleaned, without needing to complete it.
