If there’s one thing about the Battlefield community, it’s that they sure are a vocal bunch. EA have been working a lot more closely with series fans in the development of Battlefield 6 following the disastrous Battlefield 2042 and have implemented many changes the fans wanted. With 7m sales in the opening days of the game’s launch, the Battlefield studios have got a healthy player base to keep on their side.
BF6 ticket changes
Earlier this week, the developers had made some highly controversial changes to the Conquest game mode, which reduced the number of starting tickets and match timer in an attempt to speed matches up.
The following changes had been made:
- Siege of Cairo from 1000 to 900
- Empire State from 1000 to 900
- Iberian Offensive from 1000 to 900
- Liberation Peak From 1000 to 800
- Manhattan Bridge From 1000 to 800
- Operation Firestorm From 1000 to 700
- New Sobek City from 1000 to 900
- Mirak Valley from 1000 to 700
Fans were instantly furious online with the changes met with a fierce social media backlash. This is largely in part to the nature of the game mode, with players calling for a reduction in the match timing duration, rather than tickets. If you’re a Conquest veteran, you likely play the mode for a longer protracted battle that you can take a little more leisurely than the frantic pile-in battles seen in Rush and Breakthrough modes.
EA have been listening to the community and have this morning reverted the ticket and match timer changes, which each match starting with 1,000 tickets per team and a 45-minute timer – just like launch a week ago:
We've heard your feedback about the recent reduction of Conquest starting tickets and will be reverting the ticket count across all maps to their original launch value of 1,000 and 45 minute timed rounds.

Please note that on larger maps such as Mirak Valley and Firestorm this…
There have been a slew of small tweaks to the game since launch. Cronus Zen users have already received bans on their accounts; meanwhile EA are looking to remove the glitchy, yet fun ‘ladder launch’ in an upcoming update.
