During Gamescom Opening Night Live we learned of ZA/UM’s next release, Zero Parades. It’s no secret that many were looking to see what would come as the follow up to Disco Elysium. When the announcement for Zero Parades finally arrived, many were ready to hear more. Today, during the SONY State of Play, we finally get more insight on this narrative-driven spy RPG.
Play as Hershel, alias CASCADE, a spy who deals with being haunted by your failures from five years ago. Now you get the chance to possibly fix your mistakes and prove you worth. Her old squad is still out there and it’s time to bring the gang back together if you can.
That doesn’t mean it will be easy. Clearly someone is against you despite the fact that you do get results. When you find yourself in a three way battle for power, can you make the best of a bad situation?
The game trailer showed us just a bit of traversing the world and finding our way around the city. Some of this may also look familiar as the art and design remains in the style players are familiar with from Disco Elysium.

The art style is very familiar but it appears the game will handle different themes. Expect to see what being a spy is like when the glamour is gone. Expect to fail a few times along the way but bounce back when you try to understand who you are when you’re along. When no one is watching what choices do you make? Can you ensure you do not lose yourself or your mind in the process? It appears there will also be themes of mind erasing technology and what it could mean across the world.

Use all the tools you have at your disposal, your wits, your charm, and maybe even your crew to see how this all plays out. This means there will be times where your focus must be on the interactions. The PlayStation Blog has also shared “Dramatic Encounters are moments in which time stands still so you must make a series of choices to resolve a potentially deadly situation.” Some of these decisions will be up to the luck of a dice roll. Are ya feeling lucky?
Zero Parades is looking at a 2026 release and we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Let us know down below if you’ll be forgoing all sense of celebrating when you become the spy with Zero Parades.
