Crimson Viper Gameplay Reveal

Street Fighter VI showed off the gameplay for its next dlc character, the long awaited return of Crimson Viper. First appearing in Street Fighter IV, Crimson Viper was a newcomer to the series. C Viper was known as a character that had seemingly endless freedom. However that was only if you took the time to unlock her as she was pretty difficult to operate. She also later appeared in Marvel vs Capcom 3 but then went absent in terms of appearances. This led to Juri becoming the most popular character from SFIV.

With her return to the series in VI, I doubt she’ll be as hard as she was in IV. However she does look like she’ll possibly be the most execution heavy character in the game yet. She has tons of feints and cancels reminiscent of what she did IV. Crimson Viper even has a focus attack as a special move as a callback to that game. She also looks like she may have a powerful anti fireball game coupled with a mix up game where she can reset you multiple times before you realize what’s going on.

It does look like she’ll be an extremely resource heavy character as her cancels cost her one bar of drive gauge. Players could have to pay extra attention not to burn themselves out and put themselves at a disadvantage defensively. This is especially true since it looks like she won’t be the strongest character on defense overall as she’ll lack a true reversal or invincible level one super. Crimson Viper will arrive on October 15th, 2025.

While Capcom focused on her reveal, they didn’t ignore other characters. It also looks like more outfits for characters will be coming as Capcom also showed off Zangief’s with his fan favorite mecha-gief look. Wreck your opponents while in full steel if you can. Capcom also mentioned the game is currently on sale so perhaps now is the time to dive in.

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
