Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that Code Vein II will release on January 30, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS, and PC via Steam. The release date was confirmed during today's State of Play, with new details about the anime-inspired action RPG’s more expansive sequel that blends time travel, blood-fuelled combat, and emotional storytelling.
Set in a world where humans and Revenants coexist on the brink of collapse, players take on the role of a Revenant Hunter tasked with rewriting fate. A mysterious force known as Luna Rapacis has begun turning Revenants into mindless Horrors, threatening humanity's survival.

After the world was destroyed by Resurgence, Revenants took control over human society.

With the help of Lou, a girl who can transcend time, players will journey between two timelines, to uncover the origins of the Luna Rapacis and alter history.
The game introduces new weapon types including Rune Blades and Dual Swords, alongside returning favourites like bayonets and great hammers. Combat is further enhanced by supernatural gear called Jails, which unlock blood-draining attacks and Forma abilities: powerful techniques that transform weapon strikes, inflict status effects, and reshape battle strategy.
Partner mechanics also evolve, with companions sealed within the protagonist's core. Players can summon them into battle or channel their powers through Assimilation, unlocking explosive, high-impact attacks. Two key characters, Lavinia and Josee, were revealed in the trailer, each playing pivotal roles in the time-spanning narrative.
Pre-orders are now live, with Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions offering early purchase bonuses. With its sweeping story, refined combat, and haunting aesthetic, Code Vein II looks set to deliver a bold new chapter in the Revenant saga.
