During the latest big Nintendo Direct showcase - read the full breakdown of everything covered here we received confirmation that Hades II (2) will be coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 later this month.
The sequel to one of the industry's most successful - critically and commercially - roguelikes of all time. Hades 2 has been in early access on Steam since May 2024 and now the 1.0 version is ready to launch on PC and exclusively for console on Nintendo's platforms.

The Switch 2 has its own version of Hades 2. Currently the eShop offers a free upgrade path for players who buy the original Switch version.
This is the first-ever sequel from developer Supergiant Games, in which players "As the immortal Princess of the Underworld, you’ll explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you".
Hades 2 cross-saves with Steam
Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the game will offer full cross-save support with the Steam version of the game. Supergiant Games say "If you’ve been playing in Early Access and wish to continue the journey on Nintendo’s game consoles, you’ll be able to transfer your save data through a simple in-game menu."
Hades 2 release, pre-orders and pricing
Hades 2 releases on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on September 25 2025. The v.1.0 release will also be on Steam the very same day.
Pre-orders are open on the Nintendo eShop for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the game, both costing $29.99 USD.
Hades 2 Switch physical
A Switch 2 physical version is planned to launch on November 20 2025. No physical version is planned for the original Switch version.
