If you grew up watching ’90s anime just like some of us here at the GSC, then you are probably excited for the release of Wander Stars. Again, just like us. Well, now we can get an idea of what challenges we will face in this “episodic” RPG with the release of the Wander Stars achievement list!
Wander Stars is a turn-based RPG, developed by Paper Castle Games, where words are your strength. Play as RIngo, a young martial artist on a quest to find her elusive brother, Wolfe, to team up and find the pieces of the fabled Wanderstar Map. Learn up to 200 words and combine them to create custom attacks, earn Pep Ups, befriend your rivals, and travel across the universe in a race to uncover its greatest mystery!

Check out the demo for Wander Stars, which we highlighted in our July issue of the GSC Demo Disc, to get a feel for what is in store.
The Wander Stars achievement list, which comes via TrueAchievements, is comprised of 25 achievements adding up to the full 1000G. It’s a shorter list, with no secret achievements, so there are no spoilers to worry about!

The Wander Star | Unlock all achievements. | 200G |
We are not going to sugarcoat it: the Wander Stars achievement list is boring. The majority of the achievements, and half the gamerscore, are tied to finishing each episode with and without 3 stars, with the other 500G tied up in just 5 achievements.
Honestly, it is a shame to see a whopping 200G tied to unlocking all other achievements. It would have been nice to see some creativity in the list, maybe challenging players to make certain word combinations for attacks. The Training Montage and Them’s Fighting Words achievements look to be the most demanding, having players collect all training upgrades and words, respectively.

Regardless of how lacklustre the Wander Stars achievement list may be, it hasn’t done a thing to quell our anticipation for this fun-looking and imaginative anime-inspired RPG adventure!
Wander Stars releases on September 19th across PC(Steam), PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
