Team Cherry’s long awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong has taken over the gaming world since it’s release last week. Today the developer announced the first post-release patch for the game that is mostly focused on bug fixes, however the mention of difficulty is the one most will likely focus on.
The patch, which will be applied retroactively is available now for PC players if they switch over to the public beta branch of the games build. Players on console or those who don’t switch to that branch can expect to see the patch mid next week according to Team Cherry.

While we haven’t heard too many reports of bugs from the mass amounts of players so far there are still some issues with the game. Things like not being able to complete the Infestation Operation in the late game and players occasionally getting stuck floating when they do a down-bounce should all be addressed in patch 1.0.28470.
What is of particular interest to many players however is the slight change of difficulty that is being implemented with this patch, particularly in the early parts of the game.
Early game bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter will see a “slight reduction in difficulty” and the Sandcarvers will do slightly less damage with the new patch. Additionally there will be a slight increase in rosary rewards from relics and psalm cylinders and more rewards for doing courier deliveries.

These changes in difficulty and additional rewards should help players who are maybe new to the series or just want a bit of an easier experience. We've already seen some "easy mode mods" prove quite popular and I'm sure Team Cherry is taking notice It’s good to see them listen to the fanbase on these issues and act quickly on them.
