It’s not secret that I am a fan of cats. I’m a father to a hefty tuxedo boy named Leo. That being said, video games focusing on cats are right up my alley. Now, imagine the joy that I now have with seeing a new free update coming to Little Kitty, Big City!
Now, this teaser to Little Kitty, Big City‘s update was from a little while back, but let’s see what we have. First and foremost, we now have a photo mode which looks to have a wide variety of customization options available. We’re also now going to be able to fully customize our feline friends in the game.
There also, based on the overview, appears to be a new area within the city for us to explore…and cause chaos.
More on the Picture Purrfect Update
Seriously, what a cute name! The Picture Purrfect update, launching today (August 27th, 2025), will be providing the following to the adventures of our whiskered pal:
- More options for camera filters, along with new frames and stickers.
- A new street to be explored, which you know is going to be chock full of surprises and little secrets.
- New hat options for our furry lead.
- The ability to give ourselves that full makeover (or customization) with Tanuki’s cat customizer.
- More interactions with some of our old friends that we have made along the way.
- New friends – because he doesn’t love new friends!
- The option to work with Big City’s most famous feline – Taffy.
- Dog impressions! That’s right – channel your inner Shiba Inu!
Little Kitty, Big City Background
Little Kitty, Big City was the debut project from American-based Double Dagger Studio that launched in May 2024. The game itself focuses around the exploration of Big City by Kitty. Kitty, while exploring the looking environs, it ultimately looking to make their way back home. Little Kitty, Big City was also nominated as “Family Game of the Year” at the 28th D.I.C.E. Awards.
