With less than a week to go until 2006 classic, Gears of War returns once again, The Coalition have announced improvements for Gears of War: Reloaded that will arrive day and date.
Gears of War: Reloaded will be the first ever Gears of War game to launch on PlayStation, and I'm sure there'll be plenty of old Xbox 360 players now on Sony's hardware ready to rekindle old times. As gamers will be coming together across multiple ecosystems, The Coalition have announced improvements to cross-platform play including the ability to see what console players are playing on, as well as easier ways to party up regardless of platform.
The launch will also see improvements to the matchmaking following the Beta, alongside more dedicated servers.
Excitingly, the game will also be one of the very first titles verified for the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally handhelds; as well as being Steam Deck Verified. Good times ahead for handheld players.

General Stability Improvements
Cross-platform improvements
- You can now clearly see what platform other players are on via platform icon.
- Linked accounts are easier to spot, so you'll know who you can add as cross-platform friends.
- Easier to invite players to your squad/game no matter what platform they're on.
Gnasher Improvements
- Tighter spread, improved damage and hit registration
- Active Reload damage is now fixed (instead of variable) across all weapons.
Matchmaking improvements
- More dedicated servers & scaled up online services
- Cross-platform "Squads" Matchmaking Improvements
PC Improvements
- Added 240 fps framerate settings option
- Added Push-to-talk voice-chat support
- Improved Ultrawide monitor support
- Increased Mouse Sensitivity Control
- Optimizations for improved gameplay smoothness
