Team Cherry has a special announcement for Hollow Knight Silksong coming.

With all the rumors of the past few years about what may or may not be happening with Hollow Knight Silksong and Team Cherry, it was a relief to finally get some actual news earlier this year. And, better yet, the game is still supposed to be coming sometime this year. I have been hesitant. We have been here before with this game. But, the recent news was an improvement from just confirming that the game still exists. We’ve even had news that the game will have a playable demo at Gamescom.

So you may ask what’s next in the news pipeline for the game?

A video has been uploaded to the Team Cherry YouTube channel titled “Hollow Knight: Silksong Special Announcement,” which at the time of writing is set to launch in about forty-six hours at 7:30 am PST on August 21st. 

They even managed a post on Twitter / X about it, which is notable cause they haven’t posted anything original since 2022 and haven’t even retweeted merch since 2023.

The game is already confirmed to release on all platforms and has been available on Xbox Game Pass for some time now, so what will the announcement reveal? Is the video a release date? More gameplay? Something to do with a physical release? We don’t have long to wait, fortunately, and we’ve already waited long enough, so what’s a couple of extra days?
