I think it’s pretty safe to say that the first weekend of the Battlefield 6 beta was a roaring success. Pleased fans – series veterans and new players alike – busy servers and plenty of destruction, it looks like Battlefield may actually be back. In our impressions piece of weekend 1, we were impressed by what we played.
The GSC community also held a Community Game Night if you’d like to see some of our gameplay:
With the second weekend of the beta about to kick off, EA have confirmed the changes that players can expect including playlists, custom search options and more.

Custom search
The custom search feature will allow players “to choose your favorite combinations of maps and modes. For example, if you want to play Conquest on Siege of Cairo, then matchmaking will prioritize putting you in a match with this combo, if available.†EA have caveated that this is not a server browser which will not be tested during beta weekend 2.

Other changes
Training Grounds will return for weekend 2, offering a firing range and introductions to Battlefield 6 modes Breakthrough and Conquest.
Initiation Mode will also be available for players ranked level 15 and below, enabling them to take on AI players. The mode is designed as a way for new players to onboard themselves to the gameplay and physics of Battlefield before taking on full PvP lobbies. Initiation Mode will alternate between Conquest and Breakthrough modes.
That’s everything to look forward to in the Battlefield 6 beta, weekend 2. More information about the game can be found on the BF6 website.
