It’s not long to wait now until Mafia: The Old Country with the game launching next week. Yesterday, we brought you the global release times of the game as well as the Story Trailer in the native Sicilian language dub.
Based on trailers seen by the community, console players were conscious that the game may run at 30fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
2K Games have now offered some clarity on both the console performance options as well as the PC specifications.
Mafia: The Old Country console performance options
Mafia: The Old Country is taking the approach that most current-gen games have, with options for better graphics, or better frame rates. Taking to Twitter (X), the official Mafia account announced “On PS5 and Xbox Series X, Mafia: The Old Country will have both Quality and Performance modes at launch, with the game running at an average 60fps in Performance Mode.
Players who want to prioritize higher resolution and visual fidelity should select Quality Mode, while players who prefer to prioritize framerate should select Performance Mode.â€
