There was a deep dive today in everything Battlefield 6 and we are here to fill you in on everything we’ve learned. A lot of players got to go hands on with the game and are claiming that it is a return to form.
Battlefield 6 has 4 development teams behind it to bring the franchise back to its roots. Single player campaign, Multiplayer, and Portal will all be there at launch. They are even returning to the 4 class loadout selection for multiplayer instead of the specialist set-up.
Maps and Game Modes
Battlefield 6 is set to release with 9 different maps and 8 different modes at launch. The 9 maps are Liberation Peak, Manhattan Bridge, Siege of Cairo, Saints Quarter, Empire State, Iberian Offensive, New Sobek City, and Mirak Valley. Each map is specifically crafted to section off different portions of the map for small game modes.

When it comes to game modes, you can expect a new mode and a lot of re-occuring modes that you are familiar with. Battle Royale is coming at a later date via the Battlefield Portal.
- Conquest - Two teams battle it out across a sprawling map, with tanks, jets, helicopters, close-quarter combat, snipers, and all-out warfare.
- Rush - One side is on attack, and the other is on defence. Attackers need to arm a bomb, while the defenders need to stop them. Played in multiple sectors of a map until attackers win or run out of lives.
- Breakthrough - Almost the same as Rush, but where one team must capture all points at the same time to claim victory.
- Squad Deathmatch - Four squads fighting it out for dominance.
- Team Deathmatch - Teams fight against one another, where kills are the main objective.
- Domination - No tanks, no helicopters, no jets. Just straight up infantry warfare.
- King of the Hill - It's every man for themselves, as you fight for a singular control point to take the win.
- (NEW)Escalation - Two teams fight it out for control, where the final points will bring the entire battle to a single area.
What’s New to Gameplay
Battlefield 6 is set to introduce “Kinesthetic Combat”, this is aiming to improve your mobility. It adds abilities like drag and revive so you can revive while evading gun fire. You will notice some of these small changes to maneuvering when watching the gameplay. Sliding, mounting guns, and just the overall player movement.
The Destruction system is getting improvements as well. They are aiming to offer new ways to navigate the map via destruction. You can see in the trailer at one point a played breaks the floor and shoots at enemies in the basement from above.

Battlefield Portal is back! If you are unfamiliar with what Portal is, it is a platform users used to make your own match types and check out other players’ creations.
