Kibu, The Next Title From Omno Dev, Gets First Look Gameplay Trailer

During the Games Forged In Germany Steam event that took place last week, Studio Inkyfox, the solo developer of 2021’s indie hit Omno, released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming title, Kibu.

Kibu is the second title from solo developer Jonas Manke, and is being published by Future Friends Games (Omno, Exo One, Europa). You can watch the first look gameplay trailer for the game below, or on the official Studio Inkyfox YouTube channel.

In a press release that went out after the announcement, Kibu is described as:

“From the creator of Omno, Kibu is an atmospheric adventure game about seeking wisdom in the heart of nature. Climb, glide, and fight your way through a series of stunning worlds, collecting treasures and encountering spirits on your journey to resurrect the ruined temple you call home.”

A few of us here at the GSC were fans of Studio Inkyfox’s first title, Omno, an atmospheric adventure title with a focus on exploration. While Kibu appears to share some similar aspects, particularly the gorgeous environments and a playable character with a stick, the game seems to have a lot more active gameplay.

Featuring a flowing combat system as well as several side activities, including fishing, Kibu looks to build on the solid foundations that Studio Inkyfox established with Omno.

Kibu is set to release later this year on PC(Steam), so be sure to check back for more news, and wishlist the game if you are looking forward to it.
