EA have finally confirmed that after a long window of leaks, gameplay footage appearing online and numerous influencers sharing images of received care packages, Battlefield 6 is real.
The sequel to the unsuccessful and community-disliked Battlefield 2042 will be fully revealed later this week, Thursday 24 July 2025.
The Battlefield 6 Official Reveal Trailer
The first Battlefield trailer will be available on YouTube in less than 48 hours:
We don't know much about the game yet aside from its present / near-future setting. In the key art image that's been released today we see traditional helicopters alongside marines with what looks to be like current-era weaponry.

It is yet to be known when the game will release, but it's likely to be in the not-too-distant future as Battlefield has always released its flagship entries in the holiday run up. Although with Call of Duty Black Ops 7 also due for release, EA may decide to hold back the shooter until early in the new year.
We've not long to wait now until we know more about the new Battlefield. What are you hoping from the new release in the series? A return to the glory days of Battlefield 2 and 3 would be well-received by fans.
