Originally believed to launch on March 20th, due to the expiry date of Warzone Season 2, the third Season of Black Op 6’s Warzone will release two weeks later.
In a statment posted to their official social media account Acitivision said “Season 03 is a big moment for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 6, and we’re taking the time to deliver a great experience starting on April 3”.
The post finished on a positive note, saying “More to come following Call of Duty: Warzone’s 5th anniversary next week…”

Back in August of last year Activision also announced the return of fan favourite map Verdansk this Spring, which could mean that they are planning to share more details on Warzone’s fifth anniversary on March 10th.
There is currently a pop-up for the “The Verdansk Collection” appearing on the Call of Duty shop, telling players to check back on that date for more information.
No doubt fans will be a bit annoyed at this minor delay, especially after the lukewarm reaction to Season 2 back in January. The lack of content was explained by Activision at the time to “create bandwidth to address foundational issues” with the game.
