TMNT Splintered Fate Physical Release Gets Delayed

It’s been a trend in recent years that a game will release digitally, then get a physical release later down the road. Unfortunately, there have been many times that physical date can get hit will delays. It appears a certain TMNT game is not immune to this trend. Super Evil Megacorp, the developer behind TMNT: Splintered Fate, has delivered the bad news. The physical version of the game will be delayed by about a month.

“When we announced  Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate for consoles, the excitement around the physical release was immediate and we are right there with you, working hard to make that dream a reality” the statement continues “we were initially aiming for an August 26th launch. As we work to finalize the physical release, we need a bit more time to get everything just right. The new date for the deluxe edition is now September 30th, and the collectors edition will be arriving on October 24th. We’re using this extra time to make sure these editions 5 just good – that they’re worth the wait”

It’s unfortunate when physical versions miss their initial release date. As far as delays go, this one isn’t nearly as bad as it could be. That is of course, assuming this new date holds. Luckily, since this is a small delay, the reaction to said delay seems to be mostly positive.

In case you don’t know what TMNT Splintered Fate is, we will get you up to speed. The game is a rogue-like take where these fantastic four have to rescue Splinter from the Foot Clan. Play co-op or on your own as you traverse NYC, build up your skills, and hopefully save your master before it’s too late.
