John Wick Hex to be Delisted This Week

John Wick Hex, the only game ever released in the famous modern action movie series is getting delisted on all digital store fronts later this week.

In a statement on the John Wick Hex Steam page, the publisher had the following to say:

After July 17th, 2025, existing owners of John Wick Hex will still be able to access the game via their digital libraries (PC/Console) and/or physical copies (Console), however new purchases of John Wick Hex will not be possible, regardless of platform or storefront.

If you're yet to play John Wick Hex, the game isn't a Wick re-skin of Max Payne or John Woo’s Stranglehold, rather a "fast-paced, action-oriented strategy game that makes you think and strike like John Wick". Hex released in 2019 and was developed by Bithell Games who have created the likes of recent release TRON: Catalyst and indie darling, Thomas Was Alone. The game received mixed reviews at the time and sits with a Metacritic critic average of 74; with a unfavourable user score of 4.7.

John Wick Hex remains on sale digitally for a few more days on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Switch and PlayStation. If you're looking for a cheap code for John Wick Hex before it is delisted, it is available on currently Humble have a Steam code available for 82% off.

Following the delisting the only way you will be able to purchase the game is via a code reseller, or via by securing a physical version on console. People who have digitally purchased the game will retain ownership of the game and be able to download in the future.

The digital era of gaming is loved by many, but equally loathed by others. Ownership and availability of digital games remains an issue for physical game buyers. The removal of games from digital storefronts means that many games become unavailable for new purchases and only adds weight to the advocacy for video game preservation. Many GSC writers are passionate about physical media and early last year we wrote about how preservation needs to include physical media. We know that publishers including GOG and Xbox are working hard on preservation programmes including generative AI model, Muse but the reality is many games will vanish into the digital aether.
