Simple yet highly amusing and heartwarming indie Time Flies is finally coming out later this month. I was lucky enough to get my hands on with Time Flies at London Games Fest earlier this year and the game really captured me at the time, it was part of my top-5 of the show.
With not long now left to wait, Time Flies will release on July 31 2025 for PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Time Flies is developed by Playables and “is an adventure about our limited time in this world”. Players are given a ~80 second life to complete a variety of bucket list objectives around the house. The bucket list is full of a human’s life objectives, but you’re playing them out as a fly.
For example, a bucket list item of ‘learning an instrument’ involves the fly flying the strings of a guitar; whereas ‘getting drunk’ takes our fly to some wine spilled by the messy home owners we are intruding on.
Time Flies is a short adventure that takes place in a hand drawn world full of charm. The more times that you play, the more times you die, leaving more and more dead flies around the house. It’s a highly amusing way of tracking your progress around the house.
The game is keen to make you realise that time is short on this earth and we’ve only so much time to do everything the world has to offer, it’s an emotion that a game will rarely inflict upon you. Time Flies releases on July 31 2025 for PlayStation 5, Switch and PC. Players can wishlist the game on PlayStation 5, Steam now. A price is yet to be confirmed.
