Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree has just dropped Update 1.6, and it's a big one. The devs over at Primal Game Studio are still leaning into player feedback to shape the game, and this update shows it with a host of new features. Update 1.6 sees the introduction of New Game Plus, which lets you replay endlessly with tougher enemies and revamped gear. There’s also an option to start on NG+0 with a fully-equipped character if you want to experience a completely new class without the hunt for loot. Three new weapons have also been added to NG+ with Aurora, Crimson Slicer, and Reignbreaker.
There are fresh tweaks to how you handle skills and talents at the Witches' Altar, plus smoother gliding mechanics and better balance for some of the boss fights. Combat's had a polish too, with sharper enemy movement and improved ability activation. This is alongside a load of bugs fixes, including some animations, map issues and problems with talents.
The game is currently available on PC and current-gen consoles, with a Switch version due later this year. If you're into physical editions, September brings both a Standard and Collector's Edition packed with goodies like an artbook and soundtrack.
