It's hard to remember a bigger disaster launch from a big budget title in the last couple of years as MindsEye.
MindsEye launched on 10 June in a sorry state, our reviewer gave the game a woeful score saying the game "falters on nearly every level". Alongside the bugs and other well-documented issues, the game's runtime was only around 10 hours - far less than fans expected from a game claiming to be an alternative to Grand Theft Auto.
Worse still, just two days after the release Sony began to start issuing refunds for the game. MindsEye was the first high-profile game to see such refunds on PlayStation since Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch in late-2020.
Eager to get the game in some acceptable working order, developer Build a Rocket Boy have quickly got to work in releasing hotfixes for the game. Today, Hotfix #2 has released which attempts to fix performance, bugs and crashing issues.
