Super Meat Boy 3D Is Coming…

Another Showcase down and another return of a classic series. Today, at the Xbox Showcase 2025, Super Meat Boy made a return in a big, BIG way, now in 3D!!!!! It was announced at the showcase that the new title, Super Meat Boy 3D, is on the way in early 2026.

As the title implies, this is the series’ first jump into the 3d realm, and if that wasn’t enough, this game seems to be moving away from the indie-looking charm the first two games had in favor of a more polished, graphically intense look not seen in the series before.

It makes sense then that Team Meat has enlisted the help of Slugger Fly for development, known for their efforts on Hell Pie. Headup Games will be taking on publishing duties for the title. They are known for publishing many indie titles, including the aforementioned Hell Pie as well as the Super Meat Boy tie-in game, Dr. Fetus’s Mean Meat Machine.

Now, if you are only a Nintendo console user, it looks like you might be left out in the cold on this one. As of now, the game has been confirmed for Xbox Series X and S, Xbox PC and Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Will you be trying out the newest entry in the Super Meat Boy series?
