The past 72-hours in the video game sphere have been abuzz with countless trailers and news on upcoming projects. During today's Future Games Summer Showcase, we received another drop of an upcoming game from Icelandic development studio Myrkur Games. This new project is titled Echoes of the End and will be tentatively coming to PlayStation, PC and Xbox Series X/S this summer.
Echoes of the End, based on the trailer, will be an action-adventure game in the vein of God of War. The story follows Ryn, a powerful warrior wielding volatile magic. Ryn is seeking to rescue her brother from the hands of an evil empire on the brink of war. Along the way, a scholar named Abram Finlay will accompany Ryn. Together, Ryn and Abram must uncover a festering conspiracy that could bring the world of Aema to its knees.
Watching this trailer, we can definitely see hints of prior action-adventure games. As noted earlier, God of War, as well as Electronic Arts’ Star Wars Jedi; Survivor, can be seen of some of this gorgeous new gameplay.

Myrkur Games states that overarching themes of trust, sacrifice, and redemption will drive this story. Echoes of the End will span across ten chapters that will be absolutely chock-full of cinematic moments, characters that will stay with us, and decisions that may change the fate of Aema.
