Elden Ring Nightreign launched last week and has been an instant commercial success, achieving 2m players within its first day.

Whilst fans have been mixed on the multiplayer take of Elden Ring, a common request has been for a duos mode. It can often be difficult to find a three-person, same console party and players have been struggling with the solo level difficulty _ something FromSoftware is looking in to.

Thankfully, whilst From take their time to look in to an official duos mode, renowned Souls modder Luke Yui created and launched a duos mod within hours of the games 30 May release. Yui is well known for creating co-op modes for both Elden Ring and Sekiro.

In the below trailer we can see Yui and a fellow Nightfarer setting off an expedition:

The alpha-state mod is available now via Nexus Mods and has already been downloaded over 25,000 times.

The mod will not get you banned from playing Nightreign as it will not connect you to FromSoftware’s matchmaking servers. As with all mods, players should read the further information on Nexus Mods before installing. However, you must be signed in to Steam and be online to use the mod.

On the mod, Yiu says “There will be more to come, but whilst the current game lacks 2-player modes, this mod will be available in this state.”.
