New Updates Coming to Starfield this Month

In a recent announcement, Bethesda noted that the May Update for Starfield is currently in Steam Beta. Slated for release across all platforms this month and will include a variety of quality-of-life improvements for Starfield. Along with these noted upgrades, there will be fixes to quests, vehicles, graphics, and other aspects of the game.

Gameplay Updates

The May update to Starfield will also introduce a “Very Low” display settings function that will help to improve noted performance issues on some devices. You can find the full list of specific changes on Bethesda’s site here, which will cover Bug Fixes in:

  • General
  • Gameplay
  • Graphics
  • Quests
  • Locations
  • User Interface
  • Vehicle
  • Shattered Space

In addition to this recent batch of fixes and improvements, the May Update will also be bringing some new toys for fans of Creations. Specifically, Bethesda notes:

  • Starfield Players will be able to upload Creations up to 2 GB in size
  • The ability for Creators to add new icons to the game have now been added
  • The Creation Store will now support the bundling of Creations

Watchtower Storyline

In the vein of Creations, there is a new storyline, along with ship attachments and capabilities (did someone say orbital strikes?), gear and more, coming from Kinggath Creations. This team, behind the “McClarence Outfitters” (Starfield) and “East Empire Expansion” (Skyrim), is proud to bring “Watchtower” to all Starfield players.

In “Watchtower”, a new faction has emerged to provide protection for humanity against possible threats with excessive power. Unfortunately, you are their latest target. Team up with another adventurer being targeted by Watchtower, befriend their contacts and work together to take what is the Watchtower’s and turn it against them.
