In a social media post they published on the game’s official accounts, the devs acknowledged the fanbase’s cries for a restock of the Expedition 33 Collector’s Edition, and explained how they have come to a solution.
“Earlier this year, our Collector's Edition sold out way faster than we expected. We know a lot of you missed out, so we've spent the time since then putting something together with @Laced_audio.
Presenting: the Monolith Set.”

The Monolith Set includes the physical merchandise in the Collector’s Edition:
- The Monolith statuette music box with a height of 20.3cm. Hand-painted resin.
- The Journal d’Expédition artbook with hardcover, 48 pages illustrated in color.
- The Chiaroscuro Steelbook®: Expedition 33.
- The Monolith Collector’s Box with premium finish.
(The Monolith Set does not include a copy of the game or the DLC.)

The Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Monolith Set, which is priced at £99.99 / $119.99, goes up for pre-order today, May 23rd, and will be open until 11 am EDT / 8 am PDT / 4 pm BST June 12th. It will be available for international fans through Laced Records, while French fans can pre-order the Monolith Set from the Pix’n Love website.
The developers also clarified some details about the US tariffs situation and scalpers.
“Due to the ongoing tariff situation between the US and China, shipping costs to the US will be higher to account for potential charges at delivery, and US customers may incur additional import duty.
To help combat scalpers, we're also limiting purchases to two per customer.”
The developers also warned fans about scammers after fake Expedition 33 merchandise using AI-generated images started appearing online.
It’s always nice when a studio listens to its fanbase, and Sandfall Interactive has gone out of their way to do right by theirs, giving them another opportunity to have a Monolith of their very own. With how quickly the original Expedition 33 Collector’s Edition sold out, we just hope there’s enough Monolith Sets for every expeditioner.
