It's now not long to wait until Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 and 4 return, in the remaster of two of the greatest extreme sports games ever made.
When the game was officially revealed, it wasn't clear whether fan favourite Bam (Brandon) Margera, of Jackass and skating fame would be included as a playable character. The star has faced many off-camera issues including serving jail time and was fired from Jackass for failing drugs tests.
In a recent interview with NME, Bam said his "passion to skateboard is back" and about his love for the THPS classics: "I spent so much time playing those games [back in the day], I would miss flights because they were so addictive. IÂ would always keep the volume up at full blast as well, because I liked every song on the soundtrack,". You, and all of us, Bam.
Now, via the official Tony Hawk's video game Instagram, Bam's return to the games was made official:
Bam won’t available to use at first and will instead be an unlockable secret character.
Its going to be a stellar year for skateboarding games as the skate. reboot enters early access in 2025 ahead of its full launch.
THPS launches on to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC Game Pass (Xbox and PC) and Nintendo Switch on July 11. Gamer Social Club will be bringing you more news and coverage for Tony's next big skate-a-thon closer to launch.
