In less than two weeks since a highly successful critical launch for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sandfall Interactive’s debut game has hit another sales milestone.

One of the standout games of early 2025 hit 500,000 sales within a day of launch, which was quickly followed by the 1m milestone within 3 days of its April 24 launch. The France developed game has now leapt to an incredible 2m sales.

Announcing the news to social media, Sandbox had the following to say: “We’ve watched in awe as so many of you began your journey. Feeling every step, every emotion, every revelation alongside you. To those just joining us: welcome.”

It is an incredible reception to a game that launched just two days after another behemoth RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is also part of Xbox Game Pass on console and PC, meaning many thousands more players will have played the game via the subscription service.
