Sea of Stars was a critical and commercial success when it released. The game sold 100,000 copies within 24h of launch and had eclipsed six million players by late-2024. Fans have been hungry for more content in the RPG, and now we have a date for new DLC. Best of all, its free!
Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker will release on May 20 2025 on all platforms - Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The release date trailer can be found here:
It sounds like quite a meaty piece of free content. Alongside new areas, dungeons and mini-games will be the welcome edition of local co-operative play for up to three players. Throes of the Watchmaker will send "Valere and Zalde on a side adventure into the miniature, clockwork world of Horloge". They will need to tackle new foe, the Puppeteer and her minions amongst more threats. The key features for the DLC are as follows:
- Over 8 hours of completely new Areas, Music, Dungeons, Mini-Games, Enemies, Bosses, and Puzzles
- New Playable Classes for Valere and Zale
- New Playable Character: Arty
- Local Co-op with up to 3 Players
