Monster Train 2 is due out May 21st and these monsters are coming out swinging. If you haven’t heard of the Monster Train series, Monster Train is a strategic roguelike deck builder. This time you’re a monster with an army on a moving train. The initial Monster Train came out in 2020 and now they are back five years later to deliver an action packed sequel. 

Monster Train 2 is expanding on what was great about the first of the series. This time around there will be new playable factions, more card types, different challenge runs and more. This isn’t where they stop though. In fact, a Monster Train 2 collaboration has been announced. The teams over at Devolver Digital and Shiny Shoe are teaming up for the fight against the Titans who have taken control of heaven causing an unlikely alliance between angels and demons. Who better than to bring people together than a cult leader?

Add the cult followers to your deck or have your army leader don the crown while you fight to save your train. Monster Train 2 promises quite a large library of cards to craft powerful synergies. It will be exciting to see what these cult followers will bring to the Monster Train Universe.

Players of the original game will find themselves back on the three-floor moving train during combat. Expect to put together lots of fun combinations and exciting strategies as you navigate the world of Monster Train 2. Will this collaboration get you to boot up the demo?

Monster Train 2 will also be at Pax East in early May and you can expect Gamer Social Club to be getting a hands on preview of the game and report back just before it’s release. Monster Train 2 launches on May 21st on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The demo is currently available on Steam for those who can’t wait!
