After it was leaked yesterday, when a trailer went live too early, Ubisoft made the official announcement. Star Wars Outlaws will release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4th. The highly anticipated second story DLC "A Pirate’s Fortune", will release on all current platforms next month on May 15th. Ubisoft decided to confirm everything since most of the information had been leaked.
The DLC "A Pirate's Fortune" is the second story DLC for Star Wars Outlaws. As I mentioned in my previous article, the rumors were correct. We will be introduced to Hondo Ohnaka in this new DLC release. This adventure will focus on treasure hunting as Hondo accompanies you. During the journey, you will discover offers for new rewards to upgrade Trailblazer, and of course, you will be smuggling dangerous goods in exchange for those rewards.
The DLC will be available as part of the Outlaws season pass, or it can be bought as a standalone option. Players must complete the main story to gain access to the DLC. Along with the DLC an update will be released as well. Players will get access to new cosmetic items based on Star Wars Skeleton Crew. Players who purchased the Ultimate or Deluxe editions will get the Naboo Nobility and Desert Nomad cosmetic packs.
Just a few months after the release of the Switch 2, we will see Star Wars Outlaws release on September 4th. No mention yet if all the DLC will launch on release for the Switch 2 version. Along with the DLC and Switch 2 news, Ubisoft also announced that it has released a demo for Star Wars Outlaws. The demo is available across most platforms where the game is currently available. The demo is about 3 hours long, but the players will not be able to carry a save over.
