Brothers and Sisters – REJOICE! The Trygon Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is out today!
So, Servants of the Emperor – what does this new update bring to us? Well, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have promised both Free and Season Pass content coming to the game.
New PvE Mission "Exfiltration" and Trygon Boss
One of the biggest components of the Trygon Update will be a new PvE mission. Captain Acheran has authorized Magos Galeo to retrieve a Tech-Priest occupying an Adeptus Mechanicus facility on Avarax. She has refused a withdrawal order and must be dealt with.
The main objective of this new mission will be to reach the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility and assess the situation with this Tech-Priest. There are also reports of new Terminus enemies in the region that can burrow in the ground and utilize bio-electric attacks.

The Inferno Pistol
The Inferno Pistol has been added to both PvE and PvP scenarios. This close-range thermal weapon will be available to the following classes: Assault, Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy.

New Skins & DLC Cosmetics
Available today in the Trygon Update is the Space Wolves Chapter Pack ($9.99 on Steam). This pack includes:
- Space Wolves Chapter Champion (Vanguard);
- Space Wolves Chapter Weapon Skins (Bolt Carbine, Chainsword, and Thunder Hammer);
- Space Wolves Great Companies Cosmetics (Armour, Heraldry, Company Markings); and
- Cosmetics for the 12 Great Companies.

Additionally, the Imperial Fists Champion Pack has been announced ($7.99 on Steam), which includes:
- The Tactical Champion; and
- A Plasma Incinerator Skin

New Customization Options
There are two new paints available in the Armouring Hall:
- Volupus Pink
- Thousand Sons Blue

There are also new customization elements available, including coloring options for cloth (17 in total), as well as coloring for hands.

System Updates
Along with new content announcements for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are system updates and balancing. Some of the more specifics include such matters as:
- Prestige Ranks becoming unlockable in PvE;
- PvP having the ability to create Private Lobbies with a mix of battle setting customizations; and
- Class restrictions around classes changing, which means access to a larger variety of weapons across classes.
