Metal Eden is a first-person shooter game developed by Reikon Games, known for Ruiner a twin-stick shooter released in 2017, and published by Deep Silver. The game is set to release on May 6, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
And for those of you looking forward to the game, or just want to try it out before you buy it – Reikon Games have just dropped a demo for it on all platforms. The demo covers Mission 0 and Mission 1 and players will have a chance to play around with some of the weapons, upgrades and abilities you’ll find on Moebius.
Metal Eden takes place in the orbital city of Moebius, originally intended as a refuge for humanity, now under the control of rogue robots. Players assume the role of Aska, an advanced android, tasked with stopping the robot takeover and reclaiming the stolen ‘Cores’ of the city’s citizens.
Featuring a mix of first-person shooting and parkour, the gameplay allows for various manoeuvres such as dashing, grappling, wall running, and using jetpack boosts. One of the main gameplay points is the extraction of energy cores from enemies, which can be repurposed for attacks or gaining power. Looking at the trailers and gameplay Metal Eden looks like it takes inspiration from games like Doom (2016), Ghostrunner, and Titanfall. The game also incorporates melee combat and grants the unique ability for Aska to transform into an armored ram-ball.
We’re super excited to try out the Demo and you can look for some extra details on the May issue of the Gamer Social Club Demo Disc.
