In just over two weeks, fans will be stepping into the fantastical world of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the new turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive. Over the last few months, we have seen a lot of details about the game, from character trailers to technical requirements, but plenty is still left unknown. For those gamers who are interested, or like to plan ahead, the full Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 trophy/achievement list has appeared!
Be warned! Expedition 33’s trophy list contains spoilers for the game, which we will not cover here, so view the list at your discretion. However, there are some individual ones worth highlighting, as well as how they may impact the player experience.
Reported initially on Insider Gaming, the list reveals all 56 trophies that players can unlock, including the hallowed platinum trophy for unlocking all the others. This likely means there will be 55 Expedition 33 achievements for Xbox and PC. In total, there are:
- 1 Platinum Trophy
- 2 Gold Trophies
- 5 Silver Trophies
- 48 Bronze Trophies
First and foremost, there are no difficulty-related trophies to worry about, so players can enjoy the game at whatever difficulty they like, and will not be forced to play the game several times because of it.
There seems to be a nice variety to the trophy list, with many putting an emphasis on gameplay and exploration. There are individual trophies tied to each character and their particular playstyle, as well as ones for beating bosses and completing side-quests.
There are a fair few that could imply a fair bit of grinding on the player’s part, with trophies like Expeditioner, Tailbreaker, and Survivor needing you to get a character up to level 33, 66, and 99, respectively. There are also trophies tied to increasing your relationship level to 7 with several characters, as well as several collectible-based ones, so keep your eyes peeled throughout!
In a studio interview held in Japan, the game’s director Guillaume Broche clarified that Expedition 33 would release Day One with new game + available. Designed to let players repeat “laps” of the game with different playstyles, hopefully, all player progress will carry over.
There are a handful of trophies that are harder to make sense of, but will no doubt become clear once players have started on their journey through Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
