South Of Midnight – Going The Distance Achievement Guide

South of Midnight, the latest game from Compulsion Games is out now. While the achievements in the game are fairly straightforward and are centered around completing the game and finding all the collectibles, a few are combat-related. To help on that end, this guide will help you unlock the Going The Distance achievement.

How To Complete

Going The Distance is one of the easier combat-related achievements, despite needing to defeat double the enemies as the others. This achievement requires you to kill 20 enemies using the Amplified Rend attack, which is cast by holding down X and unraveling them afterwards.

You will need to unlock the skill in the skill tree, but it is one of the earlier ones you get. The attack will show you the area where it will attack as you hold X, so you can have an idea of what enemies it will hit. There is also no cooldown on Amplified Rend, making it easier to get out of the way.

The strategy here is to use basic attacks to get an enemy to lower health, then hit them with an Amplified Rend. Make sure you unravel them afterwards in order for it to count. Once you understand what you are doing, it is one of the easier ones to obtain.

Hopefully, this helps you get one step closer to your South of Midnight completion. You can find below other guides for the other combat-related achievements, as well as a guide for every chapter’s collectible and Health Filaments.
