Montpellier-based game studio Sandfall Interactive has released the graphics/performance modes that will be available at launch for their upcoming turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
We are only 3 weeks away from the game’s release on Thursday, April 24th, and now fans can get an idea of what they’re options will be for their chosen platform. Expedition 33 will be launching on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5, and is another addition to the growing list of games built with Unreal Engine 5.
This technical news was accompanied by a fourth character trailer highlighting Sciel, voiced by Shala Nyx. Three other trailers focusing on Gutave, Lune, and Maelle are already out, with another for Monoco coming soon.
PC players will have the ability to fine-tune their settings with extensive in-game settings, as well as preset options ranging from Low to Epic. This will allow PC players to adjust the game’s settings according to their particular hardware, so they can find the right balance between visual fidelity and smooth framerate.
Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 players will have the choice between Performance or Quality modes, which improve framerate or image resolution, respectively. Those people who have a PlayStation 5 Pro can take advantage of an enhanced performance mode!
Lastly, Xbox users can pre-load Expedition 33 from today, and make use of Play Anywhere when the game launches later this month.

We have been getting a steady stream of information for Expedition 33 since the beginning of the year, and with the game going gold exactly 33 days before its release, we expect the cadence to pick up in these last few weeks before we get to face the Paintress.
